Yahoo introduced 'social bookmarks'

Yahoo is preparing to introduce a solution to organize and share bookmarks more simply with users. The solution will also be integrated with the Yahoo Toolbar, allowing users to store a favorite website's address with just one click.

Yahoo's new move is part of a plan to convince millions of Internet users to use a new generation of web surfing tools. These are the tools that are expected to allow users to share whatever they have with those around them.

' We hope that many Internet users will use our online bookmark sharing tool, ' said Tomi Poutanen, Yahoo's product manager.

Bookmarks, also known as Favorties, are a solution to help Internet users store their favorite sites. This is inherently a basic feature of different types of web browsers. The downside of this feature is the sharing of bookmarks, bookmarks storage or if you switch to another PC or not near your PC, they can't get familiar bookmarks.

Yahoo's solution is to store bookmarks online with Yahoo Bookmarks service. Yahoo recently released a new version of Yahoo Bookmarks service (http://new.bookmarks.yahoo.com) with more advanced features. Just a Yahoo Mail account means you can also use this service.

Yahoo Bookmarks also introduces Internet users a concept called 'social bookmarks' that allows users to easily share bookmarks via email or instant messaging quickly.

This is exactly how Yahoo is using it to encourage users to "join" the rapidly growing social web era, said Mike McGuire, Gartner analyst. ' Yahoo is creating a conversion step for users '.
