Yahoo testing social network Mash
Aiming to create a place on the Internet that makes it easy for Yahoo users to share the joys in their daily lives, Yahoo officially launched the social networking service Mash.
A Yahoo spokesman said that initially only a handful of Yahoo users were invited to join Mash.
Although it can be considered one of the leaders in sharing content on the Internet with the acquisition of Flickr.com, Yahoo is now trying its best to avoid being left too far by rivals. on social networking.
Mash's goal is to compete with Google's MySpace, Facebook, Bebo or Orkut. These services have attracted millions of users worldwide.
Yahoo claims Mash is a completely independent next-generation online social networking service with Yahoo 360 that has been in operation for more than two years. One of the remarkable features of Mash is that it allows readers to edit their friends' profile content. However, such modifications before being online must receive the approval of the owner of the editing record.
In addition Mash can connect to a variety of other Yahoo services as well as allow service users to insert their own personal websites with small web applications (widgets).
'Show Mash is only in the early stages of testing. We will continue to test to get feedback from customers and make more appropriate edits , 'Yahoo said in a statement.
