Yahoo has just added a new feature to Vista's YM application, which is capable of supporting voice chat and sending SMS.

The first test version of YM for Vista, issued in December 2007, does not have this feature. The new version supports voice-to-PC (PC-to-PC), as well as calls to and from the phone. The new upgrade is currently available at the Yahoo download page.
The software is one of the few Vista-specific applications designed to take advantage of the Windows Presentation Foundation graphics display in Vista. YM Vista's new chat chat interface is said to be quite impressive.
Some new features of YM Vista include: vector graphics capabilities for more independent display on different types of screens; new Windows Sidebar version; integrated Yahoo address book; add Flickr photo sharing feature; Watch videos and photos sent from the web links in the chat window; and the ability to change colors.
