Yellow hair turns green after bathing

Many residents in a southern Swedish town were frightened when their beautiful blond hair suddenly turned into green . after bathing.

According to Sweden's Skanskan newspaper, after being informed of the incident by the people of Anderslov, the local government immediately opened the investigation.

Experts have checked the water supply for many houses here to see if there is copper content - the substance is said to turn yellow hair into green - high or not. As a result, this amount of metal in the water supply system here is still normal.

However, in some houses, water is heated to overnight, the amount of copper has increased 5 - 10 times the normal level.

Since then, investigators have concluded that hot water has "peeled" copper from plumbing as well as hot water. Then, this amount of copper is absorbed by the water, causing an unusual change in hair color when people bathe.

This problem is the worst in new homes, where pipes have no inner coating.

'Samples of water taken from old houses have lower amounts of copper , ' said Skanskan newspaper quoted environmental expert Johan Pettersson.

Anderslov residents are advised to wash their hair in cold water or switch to live . in old houses to avoid discoloration.
