Committing the crime without knowing it

H. is a student of Industrial University, a small vocabulary who is passionate about computing and has talent. Although he was a student, H. was in charge of network administration for a famous music website in Ho Chi Minh City. H.'s website has the second highest number of hits in the music world, favored by young people.

Sometimes H.'s website is also attacked by hackers, however, with the ability to believe H. is easily solved. But about 6 months ago, H.'s website was hit with ddos, a classic attack method but almost impossible to resolve. Inherently experienced, H. moved the server many times, but none of the server systems could withstand repeated attacks. H.'s website is almost frozen.

Through the study with informatics on the forums, H. discovered in HCMC there are a few strong server rental points that can resist ddos. On June 19, H. launched attacks on three websites, www.yeuamnhac.com , www.hihihehe.com and www.photo.year1.com , which are hosting servers at DigiPower. At the end of July, H. was invited to explain by the investigation agency, currently pending. This guy was very surprised because he didn't understand why his reagent dose was so dangerous.

A few months ago, netizens were also frightened by a teen hacker. The hacker spread a virus called a pretty girl that spreads through the chat network. Virus spread through Yahoo! Messenger. After successfully infecting a computer, the virus finds people in the Yahoo! Messenger of the victim then simultaneously sent malicious links, accompanied by attractive offers through the chat window to those addresses. The recipient will think that the chat you send should click on these web links.

Consequently, their computers will also be infected with the virus. When invited by the investigating agency, the hacker confided: I wrote that bot not for destructive purposes, but really just to check the possibility of being DoS over the network. I was surprised at the speed of spread and the awareness of users.

Recently, also on Yahoo !, 3 teen hackers also used to distribute a total of 6 different virus versions (2 versions of FunniYM, 2 vDkcYM and 2 HpBotYM). They used the available virus code and edited it and posted it online.

Threat from "newcomer"

Most recent vandalism in Vietnam is often caused by people called hackers or packet monkeys or newbie scripts by hackers, say newcomers. Unlike hackers, new soldiers are not qualified to write their own tools. They use the utilities written by others and are available online to detect website vulnerabilities and attack. Their skills are only normal but because the tools are so much available, the number of new soldiers is increasing and their level of destruction is quite dangerous.

Mr. Tran Duc Hoang, Technical Director of Vietsunshine Company, urged: " The law must take measures for these hackers. At the same time, propagate the law so that they can understand their actions ."

According to some experts, with the hacking tool provided rampant, curious young IT users who want to try it are hard to avoid. When the security error is still inferior, the attacks or dropping the virus will continue.
