Giant 6m long fish washed ashore

An Oarfish fish about 6 meters long washed ashore at the Hacienda beach in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

This is a very deep and rare species of fish that has only been seen when it was alive, so it attracted a crowd on the coast.

Many people believe that oarfish is the source of myths or mysterious sea creatures such as Loch Ness monster.

According to The Pisces Fleet Sport Fishing blog, locals tried to help the fish return to the sea, but it kept drifting back into the sand.

Normally, they live at a depth of about 900m under the sea. However, it has been noted that this species often floats to the surface when they are sick or injured.

Oarfish fish can be up to 15m long and they are not recognized as dangerous because they do not have teeth.
