10 outstanding events in 2005 of VNPT

1. The Government approves a pilot scheme to form Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group. Accordingly, VNPT will be a state-owned economic group with a multidisciplinary business both domestically and internationally, in which Telecommunications, IT and Post are main business sectors. VNPT is continuing to promote innovation in management and business activities; Building and completing the structure to launch the Group in the middle of 2006. 2. 2005 - the year marked 60 years of construction and growth of the Post sector (August 15, 1945 - August 15, 2005). VNPT has organized many exciting activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Industry Tradition: deploying 20 years of Innovation; successfully organized the Second Emulation Congress of the Corporation; 10th anniversary of VNPT operating under the model of Corporation 91 of the State.

3. 4. Maintain the leading role in the field of Posts & Telecommunications & IT. 5. VNPT brings the new generation Telecommunication network (NGN) to use nationwide , proving the technology convergence between Telecommunications - IT and Communication. This is a prerequisite for VNPT to continue to be a pioneer in the field of Posts and Telecommunications. 7. The Prime Minister assigned VNPT to implement the Project on Vietnam Satellite Telematics (VINASAT) under Decision No. 1104 / QD-TTg dated October 18, 2005. According to the plan, the second quarter of 2008 will put VINASAT satellite into operation on the 1320E orbital position registered in the geostationary orbit.

8. International cooperation relations are expanded and strengthened. Many multilateral and bilateral contacts with cooperation agreements and commitments have been signed. 9. For the first time, images of all 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups have been shown vividly on the postage stamps of " Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities ".
