120 personalities inside a young woman with dreams during the day

Kate Dranfield (England) has a mental disorder and brings 120 different personalities.

The appearance of Kate Dranfield is like other 17-year-old girls. However, inside she has 120 different personalities from young to old, both men and women, heterosexual and transgender due to the influence of "dreaming inappropriate" or MDD.

"Some people dream like a way out of reality. Others are lacking in social communication. I think I'm in the middle," Kate describes.

According to Nom News, MDD is a psychiatric condition first identified in 2002 by Professor Eliezer Somer, a psychiatrist at the University of Haifa (Israel). In Kate, symptoms appear when she is 6 years old. Kate's mother Sheila said: "When she was young, she used to listen to pop music. I thought she was dancing but it turned out she was dreaming of becoming another person."

"When transforming my personality, I was like entering a new world and looking at things from a third person perspective," the young girl explained. "It's hard to know who is thinking, me or personality. I can't control it . " Kate also remembers the name and the life story of every personality.

The 120 people inside Kate are extremely diverse, but most speak American accents. Dreams of personality change can last for hours and occur three times a day at any time, especially when Kate is tired or stressed. At these times, her emotions become unpredictable, easy to cry or laugh for no reason.

Some personality has a tragic fate like Jade. " She was named Jason before. She found her mother sleeping with her father's brother and her uncle turned out to be a father ," Kate said. "I cried when I heard the story. And Claire, she is quitting drugs after seeing someone shot."

Often immersed in dreams during the day, Kate could not make friends."Every time I was so dreamy, I pushed people away. They thought I was angry or something," the young woman was sad. "One day, I heard music in the middle of a lesson so I changed my personality while talking to you. She thought I did something wrong without knowing I was falling into another world. It was bad."

In addition, MDD also negatively affects Kate's learning. In 2015, she was late for classes and exams due to personality changes.

Despite a series of obstacles, Kate could not seek help because MDD has not been officially recognized as a disease so far and the treatment only stops at an imbalance in chemistry. In December 2016, the British Psychological Association stated that "MDD is not rated properly".

According to Jayne Bigelsen, MDD researcher in New York (USA), understanding of MDD is still incomplete, so it is impossible to know the cause or how to prevent it. However, she insists that MDD is not schizophrenic because the patient is not delusional but actually dreams during the day. Besides, they may experience abuse, trauma, anxiety, loneliness, depression or complete normalization, wide relationships, many friends.
