2 types of cancers that women with long legs are often prone to

Cancer journal The Lancet Oncology has published a study that has led to a heated debate about the relationship between height and risk of cancer.

Between 1996 and 2001, researchers persuaded 1.3 million middle-aged women in the UK to participate in a long-term follow-up.

Through monitoring, researchers not only calculated the incidence of cancer but also based on the parts of the disease to analyze more, statistics on the rate of 17 cancer diseases for women has different height.

Statistics show that the height increased by 10cm, the cancer risk increased by 16%.

The risk of cancer among women with a height of 175cm or higher is 37% higher than the group of people with height of 1.55cm.

What kind of cancers are prone to high-risk people?

Breast cancer

Women taller than 1.75m are more likely to develop breast cancer. Hormones that affect women's height will lead to an increase in milk ducts in breast tissue. And this is where most cancer cells reside. So the more ducts there are, the higher the risk of breast cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer

The risk of pancreatic cancer for men is 1.85m higher and 1.68m higher for women than 81%.

This may be because hormones increase the height of people also increases the risk of developing cancer cells.

What kind of diseases are low risk people?

Heart disease

The risk of men less than 1.7m will be higher in heart disease than those who are taller than 1.85m.

The reason is that the blood vessels of the lower ones will be narrower, more susceptible to congestion and thereby lead to cardiovascular disease.

Stomach cancer

Stomach cancer is related to H. pylori virus. This virus is the direct cause of stomach ulcers.

If H. pylori infection in children can cause slow growth.
