20cm thick snow first appeared in Nghe An
In Na Ngoi and Muong Long communes of Ky Son district (Nghe An), snow falls for many hours, covering the roof and trees.
According to Bui Tram, chairman of Ky Son district (Nghe An), the snow began to fall in the area from January 24 to the next day.
Especially, in the border commune of Na Ngoi and Muong Tong, it lasts for many hours.
Many villages and trees in Na Ngoi are white in the snow.
"The time of snowfall, this area is estimated at minus 2 degrees Celsius," the district chairman said.
The snow-covered roof lasts from January 24 to this morning.
The snow layer is 10cm thick on the plastic bucket lid.
Snow clung to the branches of the peach tree.
The road to Na Ngoi border post was flooded with white.Many trekkers have reached this area to watch the snow.
In Na Ngoi area, there are many snow spots with a thickness of up to 10 cm, some places are 20 cm.
"The first time I felt such a beautiful image of snow in Nghe An. Hard limbs were difficult to take pictures but still felt very happy to come here," Nguyen Cuong cheerfully recounted.
On January 25, the temperature in this area increased but the snow remained.
The deputy general director of the National Hydrometeorological Center Le Thanh Hai said that it is rare for Vinh city to be approximately 7 degrees Celsius as on January 24, the freezing in the western districts is very rare.Particularly, snow has never been recorded before, until January 23.
