2.4kg avocado fruit can break the world record in Hawaii
A farmer at harvest weighs nearly 2.4kg, which could become the heaviest avocado in the world.
Pamela Wang, a resident of Kealakekua, Hawaii, found a 2.37kg avocado last weekend, according to Science Alert.

After Wang found the giant avocado, she immediately went to Pure Kona Green Farmers Market to show it to the local farmers. When Wang shared avocado shots on Facebook, some of her friends said it could break the world record. Wang decided to register a record with Guinness.
Guinness World Records is determining whether this is the heaviest avocado in the world. Guinness has no record for "the biggest avocado" , but has the "heaviest" category. The record holder in this category is Gabriel Ramirez Nahim in Venezuela with a 1.8kg heavy avocado discovered in 2009.
If the Guinness organization confirmed the weight of the avocado that Wang found, she could break Nahim's record.
Hawaiian farmers are also the record holder of the heaviest jackfruit (34.5kg) and the largest soursop with a circumference of 60cm and a length of 29cm.
