A new study has identified Amyloid Beta protein as a neurotoxic agent as it penetrates into the brains of Alzheimer's patients. The disease will cause 13.8 million Americans to be affected, which could lead to death in 2050.
According to the latest medical study published in the Journal of Biochemistry, scientists have identified Amyloid Beta protein as the cause of neurotoxicity in Alzheimer's patients.
Amyloid Beta protein hinders the connection between broken cells, making it hard for cells to recover. In addition, the fragments left behind by the protein cling to the cell walls make the brain drastically lose its function.

In this study, scientists came from Washington University in St. Petersburg. Louis, Missouri, with collaborators from Germany, showed how Amyloid Beta protein changes its structure to easily get into neurons.
However, the contamination of this protein remains a controversial question. Scientists believe this protein interferes with the function of mitochondrial nerve cells (which supply cells with energy), cutting off energy and leading to the death of cells.
After learning how the protein entered the cell, the scientists explored the interaction between beta and mitochondrial Amyloid, see how they would act, remove or collect more. Knowing how this protein interacts with cells will help us prevent and cure future patients.
According to the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's disease is the sixth leading cause of death for Americans. Without timely medical breakthroughs, it is estimated that 13.8 million Americans 65 and older are affected and die by the disease by 2050.
With the relentless efforts of scientists, difficult diseases like Alzheimer's will no longer be a concern. We have taken a step in blocking it, be optimistic and forget it.
