Airplane swallow

The idea of a micro aircraft designed to simulate swift flight was introduced at the annual design conference of Delft University of Technology.

The Delft Design team will launch the RoboSwift in January. According to the design, the aircraft has a wingspan of 51 cm and weighs about 80g. Specially designed wings and wings, simulating the swirling coat. The shift of the " feather " combined with the turbofan engine will help it move as swiftly as the swallow fly and when it needs to change direction, a wing will shrink similar to the wing swallow.

RoboSwift uses energy from lithium-polymer batteries. It can chase after a flock of birds for 20 minutes or perform reconnaissance missions for 60 minutes. The design team says they also have three small cameras attached to the aircraft for surveillance.
