PM 2.5: particles suspended in the air with a diameter of less than or equal to 2.5 µm (micrometer).

Particles less than 10 micrometers in diameter are particles that can be inhaled by humans when they breathe, they will accumulate on the lungs, causing harm to human health. Particles smaller than 2.5 micrometers in diameter are particularly dangerous because they penetrate directly into the lung pockets.
