Application for people with biological clock disturbance

Based on a study by mathematicians at the University of Michigan, USA, the Entrain application is designed for passengers on aircraft, night shift workers or anyone with a biological clock disturbance.

The free Entrain application, designed by Olivia Walch, is based on the equation developed by Danniel B. Forger and Kirill Serkh, two math experts at the University of Michigan.

In PLOS Computational Biology, published on April 10, the two experts have published their findings about how math can reduce the time that the body needs to overcome fatigue syndrome due to changing zone. hours caused.

Entrain's operating principle is based on biological rhythms, regulating various biological functions including sleep and body temperature. Based on the special impact of light on the establishment of the body's circadian rhythm, the Entrain application uses complex equations to determine when and how long users should have access to light.

A note for Entrain users is that they should specify the length of flight, destination and the light level they desire (strong or weak light intensity, indoors or outdoors) . Then, Entrain helps calculate and adjust the amount of light appropriately.

By reducing the prolonged time of fatigue syndrome after each flight, Entrain contributes to helping users avoid serious health problems such as discomfort, depression, and impaired metabolism.

Currently, this application is available on iOS operating system.
