The pioneers of Internet inventions have officially become the first to receive the Queen Elizabeth Technology Award (QE Prize).

These people are Tim Berners-Lee, Robert Kahn, Vinton Cerf, Louis Pouzin and Marc Andreessen. The five engineers began work on the creation of a famous global computer site from the 1970s.
They were rewarded with a £ 1 million check with a tremendous contribution to the media revolution that took place in recent decades.
In particular, Robert Kahn, Vinton Cerf and Louis Pouzin contributed to the protocols that make up the basic structure of the Internet, Tim Berners-Lee created a protocol to link the World Wide Web (WWW) at the Research Center. In general, the Queen Elizabeth Award for Technology aims to recognize those who have made meritorious contributions to technological innovation to bring global benefits to people. This prize is considered to be equivalent to the Nobel Prize, set to promote outstanding creative achievements in the field of technology.
The announcement was announced at the Royal Academy of Technology yesterday, March 18, 2013. Bob Kahn and Louis Pouzin came to the podium to receive the award decision.
By June, the winners will go to London to officially receive the reward from the hands of the Queen of England.
