Back up data from a floppy disk

Although USB is now very popular, the floppy disk has not been completely erased. They are easy to use, but they are easily damaged. If there is a floppy disk that is corrupted, or unreadable, use the Bad Copy Pro program to back up data from that disk.

The program is 913 KB compact, compatible with all Windows, download at http://download.jufsoft.com:80/download/badcopy3.exe . After installation, you need to insert the floppy disk to restore data to the drive in the computer. Then click Floppy Disk 3.5 / 5 "Disk in the left pane of the program's work window (see Figure 1).

If you want to recover the information contained in the disk, click Rescue Corrupted Files in the Recovery Mode line, select Next> OK so that the program can scan and recover the information for you.

If the disc is slightly damaged, a message will appear asking you to switch to recovery scan mode 1 so that the program will repair the damaged or conflicting disk information and prevent Windows from recognizing the disc ( See Figure 2). Then select OK, and go back to the main screen, press the floppy disk and select Rescue Lost File- Mode # 1> Next> Scan Disk for the program to work.

If the cause is still not found, the program will ask you to switch to scan mode 2- mode for disks that are too bad. Then the Bad Sector will be repaired or removed so as not to cause conflicts with Windows. After scanning, if your floppy drive has expired, its capacity will be reduced by 1/3 - 2/3. Then this floppy disk can only be used on your computer. If you want to pass through another computer, you must reinstall this program and then scan again before using.

If after three scans you still can't find the error, do not rush to remove the disc but follow your experience in the organic chemistry laboratory of the Polytechnic University: wrap the disc and put it in the ice compartment refrigerator for about a day (remember to cover it to prevent water from entering), then remove it for use. There is a 50% chance that your drive will work as usual. If it is completely unreadable, your floppy disk cannot be cured.

After the floppy disk has been scanned, the information files will be listed (see Figure 3). After you turn off the program and open the disc, you will see what you want.
