In District 12 (Ho Chi Minh City), because the sky is often cloudy, the observation group of Ho Chi Minh City Astronomical Club (HAAC) only sees 17 shooting stars from 2pm - 3:30 am, after Then the clouds become dense so the group stopped observing at 4am.
At Thu Duc National University, Le Ba Trung's group (HAAC member) observed more than 10 meteors all night. In Can Gio, due to no light pollution, Dinh Nguyen Ngoc Lanh observed more than 20 shooting stars.
At the time of the peak of the meteor shower (about 4g onwards), due to cloudiness, the groups observed very few supernovae.
In Vinh Long, thanks to the good weather and the spotless light, a HAAC member saw 20 meteor at the peak (from 4.30 am to 5 am).
In Pleiku and Lam Dong, the observation groups saw nothing due to the cloudy and foggy sky. In the northern provinces like Ninh Binh and Hanoi, Truong Ngoc Khanh (one HAAC member) could not observe because of the cloudiness and cold.
