Beautiful photos of tropical rainforest

Tropical rainforests are home to a greater number of organisms than all other biomes. About 80% of known biodiversity can be found in tropical rainforests.

Jaguar is the third largest animal in the cat family, behind the tiger and the lion. This predator is usually found only in forests and swamps in Argentina and northern Mexico.

Some studies have estimated that ants produce about 30% of the biomass of all tropical rainforests on Earth, far beyond mammalian biomass. In the picture, two ants cut leaves and saw a leaf in the Manú national forest in Peru.

Even the most massive rodents on the planet have such tender moments. In the picture is a capybara (South American rodent) who is 'kissing' his chin. The average weight of this species is 50kg, they can live both on land and underwater, feeding on aquatic plants.

This Blue Morpho butterfly lives in the jungles of Central and South America. Their width size can reach 15cm, and the human eye can recognize the brilliant blue color of the male butterfly at 1km away. In the picture is a female butterfly that is fluttering in a Cost Rica forest.
