Bike up and down the elevators instead of elevators

Elena Larriba's invention can replace stairs and elevators with bicycles.

Elena Larriba at the Royal College of Art of England creates a Vycle device that allows users to "ride" on tall buildings instead of using stairs or elevators, according to Forbes report.

The device is built with the front half of the bike attached to a fixed rail on the wall, moving up and down completely by human power. Electricity can be integrated into improved models to make the vehicle move faster, suitable for a variety of ages and motor abilities.

Obstacles from the body weight of the user can be overcome by the balance system. The gears also allow the user to select the degree of difficulty before stepping on the desired floor.

Larriba thinks the product overcomes the drawbacks of stairs and elevators. Bulky elevators are rarely used in many high-rise buildings, while elevators use energy to move a person over several meters.

According to Larriba, the product can be applied to prefabricated buildings and increased safety, usability for construction workers. The product is just the original idea and will continue to be perfected.
