Binh Dinh: Detecting a series of precious artifacts

On October 10, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh announced the results of excavation of Lai Nghi tower mound located in the land of Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoc's family (in Bac hamlet, Hamlet 1, Binh Nghi commune, Tay Son district, Binh Dinh).

Hundreds of artifacts include elephant reliefs, reliefs of Makala monsters, Kala's reliefs, . no excavations have been found at Cham relics in Binh Dinh.

At 3 pit locations in a total area of ​​over 100m2, the excavation team of Binh Dinh Museum has collected 619 artifacts, including 383 terracotta ceramic artifacts of unique value (dating to about the century. 12 - 13).

In particular, this is the first time to find a round statues of old Chinese pottery. It is considered the product of Cham ancient pottery production center in this area.

According to Dr. Dinh Ba Hoa - Director of Binh Dinh Museum, the excavation of ruins of Lai Nghi to save the remains of cultural relics in the monument, thereby understanding the scale of the architecture and construction techniques of tower. Since then, compare with the technique of building regional towers; At the same time, it will be added to the list of remaining Cham relics in Binh Dinh until today.

This is an excavation that has collected the most intact and beautiful earthenware reliefs ever made in Lai Nghi ruins.
