Isolation

Picture 1 of Biosecurity solution for poultry
Location of breeding facilities: Must separate residential areas away from other breeding farms, far from public works . especially, far from markets, animal slaughtering establishments .; There are surrounding fences, minimum height is about 2m. The administrative facilities of the camp must be isolated from the breeding areas.

Separate each type of poultry: Hamlet hatched for sale; newly hatched chickens, chicks, gilts, laying hens .; must have a separate area for raising chickens to import; not raising many types of chickens, ducks, geese, geese, pigs . in the same farm.

Entering and exporting together: Do not raise the head and rotate in a camp, but after finishing the poultry, must disinfect and disinfect the cages for a while before releasing the new batch (to breaking the rotation of the pathogen).

Our chickens freely leave the garden, so we use a net to separate it into a separate area to clean and disinfect like a closed farm.

Move management

For humans: The lowest level of visitors must be restrained; Livestock workers arrange accommodation at the camp (especially at high risk of outbreaks): before entering the camp, they must wash, sanitize, disinfect, change clothes, hats, boots . especially workers' families should not raise poultry in their families; veterinarians, inspectors must comply with the conditions when entering and leaving the camp; All work should be carried out from small flocks to older flocks; Veterinary staff working in camps do not practice veterinary medicine outside.

For poultry and poultry products: Breeding poultry should be healthy, taken from the checked herd without influenza or other infectious diseases. Newly imported poultry must be kept in isolation for at least 3 weeks to monitor and need to send samples for testing.

It is necessary to check closely not to bring meat and poultry products to the farm for use. Poultry eggs taken into hatcheries must be obtained from establishments that have been tested for influenza virus infection.

Means of transport: Arranging separate internal transport means in the camp; vehicles transported before entering the camp must be sprayed with chemical disinfection (pay attention to the wheels, under the car).

Animal husbandry tools: Each farm must be used separately. In case of rotation of tools, they must be disinfected.

Toilet

  • Sanitation, disinfection and disinfection for all people involved in management and breeding before leaving the camp.
  • Food must be used from facilities that provide a clean disease, do not use semi-floating feed or transfer food from unidentified establishments.
  • Drinking water must be used from underground water sources, ensuring tap water, so disinfect drinking water very closely.
  • There must be disinfection holes, tools; spray on the gate before the camp. Entering breeding areas must have antiseptic trays.
  • Periodically, to clean and disinfect all areas of farms, clearing, draining drains, sprinkling lime powder, spraying antiseptic spray. Clean and carefully treat waste in the camp.
  • After washing, dry the floor and wall, then sweep with 20% lime water. Or spray with appropriate chemicals. Cleaning daily livestock tools (buckets, shovels .).
  • Destroy and prevent harmful animals directly from poultry like rats, wild birds .
  • When dead poultry must be handled carefully by digging a deep hole, pouring oil, sprinkling lime and filling. Absolutely not to throw away dead bodies indiscriminately polluting the environment and spreading germs.

Feed, take care

  • Poultry should be kept in low density (equal to 50% of poultry density / m2).
  • Food must ensure quality, nutritious ingredients and ensure veterinary hygiene.
  • Supplementing minerals, vitamins, electrolytes to combat stress.
  • Provide adequate clean drinking water during the breeding process.

Use the vaccine

Full use of infectious disease vaccines such as cholera, Gumboro . in accordance with the process for poultry types. Only use avian influenza vaccine when instructed by Department of Animal Health.

Relationship around
