An Indian student was fed up with a variety of occupying equipment in his house, so he was determined to create a washing machine that could be a table, a chair and a nice couch.

It is a 23-year-old student, Harsha Vardhan, is studying the Indian Institute of Technology design in Delhi. His unique washing machine (Alternative Clothes Cleaner - ACC) is used in high technology for washing.

This washing machine will be completely free from water and detergent but will use ionized air to clean the clothes. ACC is built according to the motto for a clean environment so most parts of the machine are recycled plastic.

The principle of ACC operation is as follows: The air is drawn from the outside, when the pressure is sufficient, the outer tubes are closed. The air inside the machine is ionized and is blown into the clothing compartment by a conventional fan. Clothes in the machine are held by a elastic mesh. When going through clothes, air draws dirt and enters the cleaning system.

ACC's outer shell is made of bent plastic, some chrome-plated stainless steel parts, these elements make the machine not vibrate (so people can rest on the machine even when the machine is operating) and say protect internal components from external influences. The inner frame is made of high compressive polyethylene so it is very flexible and strong. It also has another part that is a panel panel to be inserted into the machine, on which there is a touch screen to control the washing process.

Harshan has the ambition that this work will win prizes at the annual contest Electrolux Design Lab, and ACC has among 8 works that will reach the final (out of 599 participating works from 42 countries around the world) or No, this will be announced in Zurich (Switzerland) on October 9.
