Building 'dragonfly'

It is a building called Dragonfly, shaped like dragonfly wings that grow in the heart of the city, where residents can feed themselves.

It's not a sci-fi story, it's a work that designer Vincent Callebaut will perform on Roosevelt Island in New York. The building has a height of 600m, a total of 132 floors, which not only provides a residence for urban people but also a place to raise cattle and poultry and plant 28 different types of plants to provide food for residents. people in it.

Two wings of dragonflies are actually two giant glass buildings that are connected through two central towers with construction materials primarily made of steel and glass. In winter Dragonfly will be solar powered. In summer the automatic ventilation system as well as the steam coming out of the flora will cool the building. Rainwater will be maximized to irrigate 28 types of plants grown indoors.

The idea of ​​this giant glass building also helps people less worry about global warming, causing sea levels to rise. Moreover, the provision of residence for people is also urgent. By 2009, according to statistics, urban residents need 3.1 billion places of residence and by 2025 will increase to 5.5 billion.
