Prior to this risk, Cao Bang province has implemented a number of projects to research and restore specialty fruit trees of high economic value in the province.

The province has collaborated with the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry to conduct research on many topics of restoration, conservation and development of fruit trees.

The projects have focused on building nurseries and gardens to preserve original gene sources, finding ways to eradicate pests and diseases, and instruct how to control pests and diseases for farmers.
