With a weight of nearly 42kg, the cod can be processed into over 150 dinners with potato fish and worth £ 700 (more than $ 1,000).

This year, fishermen have been constantly catching a lot of giant cod with a weight of over 27kg - three times the weight of the cod fish that live in British waters.

Recently, two fishermen Troels Bill and Jakob Lindberg from Denmark have also caught two cod fish with a weight of 30kg each.

Since 2010, many British fishermen have taken boats to the northern sea, hoping to have the opportunity to find the habitat of giant cod.

Paul Stephens, executive director of angling service company Angling Direct Holidays, said: ' Cods living in British waters cannot grow to the same weight and size. because English, French and Spanish fishermen regularly release nets to catch ".

In other European countries such as Norway, the source of cod is relatively abundant, they can comfortably grow and grow to larger sizes and weights.

This is also the reason that the fishing service in northern Norway is extremely developed and attracts more and more visitors.
