After the tunnel is completed, the distance between the two cities Dalian and Yen Dai will be shortened to nearly 1,000km. However, the completion time of the world's longest tunnel project has yet to be revealed.

Wang Mengshu, an expert at the China Institute of Technology, said the investment in tunnel construction could be recovered within 12 years. He estimates that revenue from other tunnel declarations is about $ 3 billion a year.
