The launch on December 7 set a new record for China's aerospace industry for its ability to launch orbital satellites.

At 4:05 pm local time yesterday, China launched six satellites simultaneously into space, including HEAD-2A, HEAD-2B, Spacety-16, Spacety-1, Tianqi-4A and Tianqi-4B from Taiyuan launch center in Shanxi province. They are mounted on top of the Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) boosters and go into orbit as planned.

This is the second launch, in less than six hours, from the Taiyuan Launch Center, marking a breakthrough in China's aerospace space satellite rapid and emergency launch. Earlier at 10:55 am, another KZ-1A rocket also successfully brought Jilin-1 Gaofen 02B satellite into orbit.

HEAD-2A and HEAD-2B are the first two satellites of the Skywalker Constellation complex developed by Beijing Aerospace Technology Company. They will provide global users with services such as environmental monitoring, enhanced emergency communications and information gathering on aircraft and boats.

Developed by Spacety company based in Changsha, Hunan Province, Spacety-16 and Spacety-17 are medium-resolution micro-nano remote sensing satellites mainly used in disaster prevention. , remote sensing and polar environment monitoring.

The other two satellites, Tianqi-4A and Tianqi-4B satellite, were developed by a high-tech company based in Beijing. They are low-orbiting satellites, providing services such as universal Internet data transmission, emergency communications and resource tracking.

KZ-1A is a cheap solid fuel booster with high reliability and short preparation time. They were developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, which is mainly used to launch low-orbiting satellites.
