The Daily Mail (UK) has compiled cases of animals of impressive size that have attracted public attention in recent years, although this condition often causes devastating consequences for their health.

Roger the kangaroo

Roger, 2 meters tall, became an internet phenomenon in 2015, when photos of this kangaroo appeared showing off his muscular muscles.

Roger lives on a reserve in Alice Springs, Australia. Despite his toned physique, Roger could not fight the aging process and suffered from arthritis for the rest of his life.

Kangaroo Roger passed away at the age of 12 in December 2018.

Uncle Fatty and Godzilla

Weighing more than 20kg, two monkeys Uncle Fatty and Godzilla have become famous for their 'indulgent' lives.

The monkey named Godzilla often consumes junk food and weighs more than 20kg. Godzilla has helped attract tourists to gather at its owner's stall in Bangkok, Thailand.

Godzilla was also soon compared to Uncle Fatty, a 27kg monkey. Uncle Fatty used to live near a floating market that attracts tourists in Bangkok. The old monkey is very popular with locals as well as tourists.

But the abundance of food that tourists brought to Uncle Fatty, including sweet corn as well as many extremely unhealthy foods like milkshakes and instant noodles, caused him to gain weight quickly. Monkeys usually weigh from 8 to 10kg, so Uncle Fatty has the same weight as 3 of his congeners.

The beautiful horse Frederik

This horse entered the US from the Netherlands when he was 6 years old.

Frederik The Great horse in America has a muscular body and flowing mane. Frederik lives at Pinnacle Friesians, a farm in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, USA. He entered the US from the Netherlands when he was 6 years old. The beautiful horse has attracted a large number of fans on Facebook.

The dog is over 100kg

The dog named Abu in England weighs up to 114 kg, equivalent to the weight of a small elephant. When he was two years old, Malakli ate 3kg of meat a day, including a whole chicken, three mackerel, two eggs and raw dog food.

Abu's diet causes owner Dylan Shaw, who lives in Yorkshire (UK), to spend more than $5,000 a year to buy food for him.

Despite his large body, Dylan claims Abu is a gentle giant who just likes to snuggle up on the sofa.

The 12 kg cat named Kefir is so big that many people mistake it for a dog.

Kefir belongs to the Maine Coon breed - American long-haired cat. The owner of Kefir is Ms. Yulia Minina who lives in the city of Stary Oskol (Russia). Ms. Yulia Minina shared about her pet: 'I couldn't think that a kitten could be so big. Not only is it big, but it is also very intelligent and behaves calmly' .
