Controversy about 'life on Mars'

>>>Mars is suitable for life
When two robots named Viking 1 and Viking 2 of the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) were launched on Mars in 1976, they were on a mission to search for signs of bacteria in soil samples on the red planet. . After analyzing the data that the two robots sent, scientists at the time concluded they found no signs of life, but only discovered geological activity.

Joseph Miller, a biologist at the University of Southern California in the US, and international mathematicians and scientists analyzed data collected by two Viking 1 and Viking 2 robots when they explored the Martian surface 36 year, Discovery reported.
'Based on what we have seen, I can be 99% convinced that life exists on Mars,' Miller said.
The team claims NASA does not need to send people to Mars to verify the existence of bacteria. Instead, NASA should bring robots with cameras to record bacteria activity.
"A video of the activity of bacteria on Mars is the most compelling evidence. They should put a microscope on it to observe bacteria," Miller commented.
Opponents of Miller say no one has demonstrated the Miller team's research method can detect the activity of organisms on Earth. So his team should not publish any conclusions.
