Corona medications are available but not yet tested

A number of medications are available to treat patients with coronary virus infection. However, Chinese medicine officials say there is no exact clinical examination of its effectiveness.

SCMP reported that Zhong Nanshan, a leading expert in the new virus response research team, determined that they had already available treatment for corona-positive patients. The researchers say the drug is clinically safe but has not been effective. Therefore, they need observation time to draw conclusions.

Mr. Zhong is one of the leading experts in China. 17 years ago, he was an important member of the SARS outbreak team. However, this expert did not provide detailed description of the drug to treat patients with coronary virus infection. The advice of doctors in the current context is to detect diseases early, isolate for prevention.

"If patients are quarantined and treated promptly, the number of people infected with the corona virus will be greatly reduced ," Zhong said.

Currently, the number of new cases of pneumonia virus has surpassed 1,300, the medical agency in Wuhan immediately mobilized to build a second temporary hospital within 2 weeks. Leishenshan, the new hospital name, will have 1,300 beds.

Meanwhile, the first isolation center was built in the Tai Dien District in western Wuhan, scheduled to be completed on February 3 with a capacity of 1,000 patients.
