Credit card fraud increased sharply
The number of hackers attacking their banking facilities and customers increased by 81% this year, according to SecureWorks at the BlackHat conference on IT safety this week at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas (USA).
According to SecureWorks, from June to December 2006, the company sealed off attacks originating from 808 hackers per month for each bank it protected. And in 2007 (as of June), this number reached 1,462.
