Dear ALMA, taking a picture of a star is born
A huge telescope system in Chile has captured wonderful images of an amazing astronomical phenomenon: a star is born.
A huge telescope system in Chile has captured wonderful images of an amazing astronomical phenomenon: a star is born.
According to Space.com, the ALMA radio telescope system, a collaborative project between North America, Europe and Asia, captured images of newborn stars in the constellation Vela, around Earth 1,400 light years.

The images show that the forming star has released material at speeds of up to 144,000 km / h. These materials collide with surrounding gas clouds that light them up.
International astronomers say this observation will help them better understand the complex process of star formation.'Our sun is a star. So if we want to understand the formation of the solar system, we must know how stars are born, ' Space.com quoted expert Hector Arce, who participated in the project to observe this newborn star , said.
ALMA's team also found that a star is launching two streams of matter deep into space, a stream is flying towards Earth. Arce said the excellent sensitivity of the ALMA glass system allowed scientists to detect these streams of matter.
