Did not see the area of the Mars probe
The US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) has reported that it has not received any signals from Phoenix self-propelled probes on the red planet.
AP quoted NASA as saying, Mars Odyssey spacecraft began its mission to search for Phoenix on January 18. The ship passes through the northernmost area of Mars - where Phoenix explores - 30 times in three days to search for radio signals that the probe emits. However, the Mars Odyssey does not catch any signals.

NASA scientists acknowledge the possibility that Phoenix "survives" after the harsh winter on Mars is very low. The device landed on the plains near the north pole of the red planet from May 2008 and operated for 5 months. It is not designed to withstand temperatures down to -120 degrees Celsius in the winter on Mars. Since October 2, 2008, the device stopped contacting the control center and scientists did not know if it was still active. The most striking result of Phoenix is that it finds water in the form of ice right in the top soil.
NASA will continue to search for Phoenix in February.
