Excavation at the ruins of Lang Dao temple
Through the initial excavation, the delegation discovered the vestiges of an ancient religious project with 3 pitches of lemon flower, which was built during the Tran Dynasty, the 13th-XIV century and existed until the time of Le So, so XV-XVII.
This is one of the two most typical monuments found in Vietnam and is quite intact, with many valuable artifacts.
Among the artifacts discovered, there are rectangular bricks, comedy nose tiles and some architectural decoration materials of the roof, such as earthenware phoenix heads, animal heads, angular tiles in the corners, leaf pieces lovemaking, sculptures .
At the excavation sites, the archaeological team also discovered quite typical ceramic and porcelain artifacts of the Tran dynasty and the Le dynasty.
Dr. Tran Anh Dung, officer of Vietnam Institute of Archeology, said that this is a large-scale architecture, relatively clear structure and rare in the system of ancient architecture in Vietnam.
The discovery of the architectural relics of the ancient Lang Dao temple with a large scale and special values has helped scientists have more evidence to study and find the historical value of Tuyen land. Ancient optics.
