Discover new tyrant dinosaurs

US scientists have just discovered a new tyrant dinosaur, appearing 80 million years ago and is considered one of the largest predators of all time.

According to scientists at the University of Utah and the Utah Museum of Natural History, this is a dinosaur with relatives Tyrannosaurus rex, but has existed very early.

The BBC said the dinosaur was named Lythronax argestes , meaning "bloody lord". Lythronax argestes stand on two legs, have a body length of about 9m and weigh about 2.5 tons. Laramidia, a land formed on the west coast of North America.

Lythronax dinosaurs have a short and narrow muzzle, part of the skull at the back is enlarged and the eyes are facing forward. Like other tyrant dinosaurs, they have sharp teeth and are extremely aggressive carnivores.

The dinosaur fossil found in 2009 in southern Utah, including skull bones and some other parts of the body, is now stored for research.

Scientists hope this discovery will help to study the effect of weather conditions on the end of the dinosaur era.

For the past 14 years, researchers at the Utah National Museum of History, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and many other organizations have excavated many dinosaur fossils from this area.
