Tyrant dinosaurs are granted Dutch passports

With a passport issued by the Dutch authorities, the 6-ton skeleton of the Tyrant Trix dinosaur was transported by airplane across the Atlantic to the new home.

According to the Chicago Tribune, after being granted a large passport, the fossil skeleton of the tyrant dinosaur Trix was transferred to KLM Airlines Boeing 747, departing from O 'airport. Hare in Chicago, USA to Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, Netherlands on August 23.

As one of the best preserved dinosaur fossils in the world , Trix was excavated by the archaeologists of Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, the Netherlands, in the state of Montana, USA. The tyrant dinosaur is carried with the flight with 250 passengers.

The Trix dinosaur lived 66 million years ago in what is now western North America, on a continental island called Laramidia . It is one of the largest predators that ever existed on Earth.

Dr. Anne Schulp, head of the Tyrannosaurus dinosaur at Naturalis, was happy to receive the skeleton in Leiden."When we started studying tyrant dinosaurs, I never imagined finding such a remarkable individual," Schulp said.

Trix is ​​a rare discovery. With nearly 80% of the skeleton found intact, it belongs to the top three of the world's best tyrant dinosaur fossils. Leiden Museum will place skeletons in the new gallery for the public to visit at the end of 2018.
