Besides small or extremely large black holes, scientists have discovered a medium-sized black hole, something that has never been known before.

The astronomers of the Radiation Science Center d'Etude Spatiale, France, discovered the first medium-sized black hole about 500 times the mass of the solar mass and 290 million light-years from Earth. .

This discovery is believed to help clarify the origin of the giant black holes in the universe similar to the black hole in the middle of the Milky Way. These giant black holes have a mass of several million times to several billion times the sun and their origin remains a big question mark.

The image illustrating the mysterious emission source located above the left of galaxy ESO 243-49 is determined by scientists as a black hole with a mass of 500 times the Sun.

In contrast to the giant black holes are small black holes, 'only' is about 20 times the mass of the sun and is made up of spilled material after a big star explodes.

Previously, scientists assumed that large black holes were formed due to the mixing of many small black holes. However, because no medium-sized black hole has been found yet, this assumption has not received the trust of experts.

According to French scientists in the journal Nature, the existence of these medium mass black holes is irrefutable evidence for the hypothesis of the formation of a massive mass of black holes.

With an Xray XMM-Newton telescope from the European aerospace agency, scientists have discovered a source of radiation that is 260 million times more powerful than the sun. Through the analysis of the intensity and spectrum of the emission source, the scientists concluded that it was a black hole 500 times more massive than the Sun, not too big, not too small and a hole. The first black to be detected has a mass within this range.
