Disinfection lighting system

An advanced lighting system can be effectively disinfected in the medical environment as well as the multidisciplinary scientists of Strathclyde University.

An advanced lighting system that can effectively disinfect the medical environment has been successfully researched by a multidisciplinary team from Strathclyde University, Scotland.

Picture 1 of Disinfection lighting system

This lighting system uses decontamination technology for air and contact surfaces by producing a narrow spectrum of visible light wavelengths, called HINS light .

This light is purple and is associated with LED technology to produce warm white light that can be used in parallel with normal lighting. When exposed to light, this light can stimulate the molecules contained in bacteria and in turn produce chemicals that can react and kill antibiotic bacteria while destroying pathogens that do not harm them. for human. Therefore, hospitals can use it to continuously illuminate all areas and isolation rooms.

Through clinical trials in hospitals, this lighting technology has significantly reduced bacterial pathogens, effectively preventing infections from merely disinfecting and disinfecting.
