This scam takes advantage of a domain registration system that has a 5-day post-pay period - that is, when registering a domain name and after 5 days of using the registrant can return the domain name If the domain name is wrong, the supplier can return the domain name and registration fee to the owner.

However, the monthly report of the MessageLabs Intelligence Report confirms the danger level of this "domain kiting" attack in May.

In the past month, Malaysia is the country with the highest viral growth rate. On average, every 15 emails are sent, there is an email containing malicious code. But this situation is not as bad as India. In this country, the rate of up to 1 in 9.6 emails sent contains malware.

Hong Kong and Israel are the countries with the largest amount of spam. The spam level of these countries has reached 64%. Sunner believes that the threat of spam is growing rapidly because PC-control technologies are also growing at a rapid rate.

MessageLabs said that the global spam rate calculated on email network traffic in May was up to 57.9%. This means that every 1 in 1,7 emails sent is spam.
