First discovery of a 'hiccup' black hole: Double ghost!
A monster black hole has puzzled scientists because it appears every eight and a half days
A monster black hole has confused scientists because it "hiccups" every eight and a half days.
According to Live Science , a team of scientists led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Kavil Institute for Astrophysics - Space Research in the US have discovered the first known "hiccup" black hole.
This phenomenon shows that the disk of matter around black holes may hide more mysteries than we previously thought.

This strange monster black hole weighs about 50 million suns and lives at the center of a galaxy 800 million light years from Earth, ejecting clumps of gas into space every eight and a half days.
This strange "hiccup" appears to come from the black hole's accretion disk, a ring of superheated gas that swirls around the object and is what allows us to "see" the black hole, something that is completely natural. Totally dark, invisible.
According to results published in the journal Science Advances, MIT scientists have finally discovered the cause of the anomaly.
They weren't looking at just one black hole, but two.
In particular, the smaller black hole "wanders" around the large black hole, occasionally penetrating the large black hole's accretion disk and is the culprit of this stirring.
According to lead author Dheeraj Pasham, the discovery of the second black hole was completely unexpected.
"We were left scratching our heads for months until theorists from the Czech Republic came along and suggested a secondary black hole , which seemed to explain all the properties of this system." - Dr. Pasham said.
Thanks to that, the authors built models to consider this hypothesis and realized it was completely reasonable.
This discovery opens up a new direction for astronomical researchers: Exploring the accretion disk of black holes , which may still hide a mysterious world.
