An auto company in the US is using fish to monitor the safety of public water systems to detect pollution or chemical terrorist attacks.

Smart Auto Company (IAC) in California (USA) said New York and San Francisco cities are using IAC's underwater biological monitoring system to monitor the purity of water. This intelligent automation system relies on green grouper (a type of fish that usually lives in North American ponds). They are used as biological sensors that can quickly detect toxins.

According to IAC, this system will monitor the movements of fish as they swim, breathe and sniff. The system will measure the ratio of oxygen, average depth, water-splitting rate and number of fish movements along with water quality parameters to immediately assess the toxicity of water.

If signs of toxic substances are detected, the IAC system will issue a warning for authorities to take a water sample. At the same time, the city council is informed of the situation via e-mail and phone. If the situation is serious, this system can automatically lock the water while waiting for the next investigation.

'Unlike human-made sensors, fish react to a large area of ​​chemicals and provide fast, accurate status of contaminated water with many toxic groups such as metals, cyanide, and solvents. Organic lips and pesticides, " said the IAC.

This monitoring system was developed by IAC in collaboration with the US military.
