Fix icon error in IE 7 settings -
After installing or removing Windows Internet Explorer 7, you see the corresponding icons on the new version are not the same as the old version. For example, after you remove IE 7, the IE 7 icon is not displayed for IE, but instead for HTML files.
To fix this problem, follow the instructions below: After right-clicking on the blank space on the Desktop, select Properties . In the Display Properties dialog box, select the Settings tab . In the Color quality list, choose a mode of color depth that is different from the current mode.
For example, if the current color mode is Highest (32 - bit) , select Medium (16 - bit) for the new installation. Then, click Apply , Yes . Next, in the Color quality list, select the original color mode and click Apply , Yes . Finally, click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.
