Restore the original settings of Word

Perhaps you think it is not necessary to do this while using normal Word, but how to know at some point may be unintentional or intentional that someone will change the settings, for example. such as placing a word or image that is always in the default text page, changing the look, changing options in Options .

At times like that, if you know you can adjust it, but not any settings in Word you can know and edit, so when you encounter a 'force majeure' situation, what should you do? You may be thinking about having to reinstall Word, but that may not be possible to fix the problem, but it may take some time, because the settings saved to the registry may not be available. modify the default when reinstalling Word and after installing, Word will reuse those settings. To resolve this problem, first close Word (if open), then use either of the following:

Picture 1 of Restore the original settings of Word 1- Temporarily restore the settings by default :

Using this method when you are in front of your eyes, there is no way to thoroughly fix the problem or you need to do a certain task. You do this by clicking the Start menu -> Run , then typing winword / safe (there is a space between winword and / safe) and OK then running Word again.

2- Restore the original settings intact :

This is how you will bring Word back to its original age, just like when you first installed Word. You also go to Start menu -> Run , type regedit and OK . Next you find the following key depending on the version of Word you are using:

- Word 97: HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Office / 8.0 / Word

- Word 2000: HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Office / 9.0 / Word

- Word 2002 (XP): HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Office / 10.0 / Word

Next, right-click on the Word key name, select Delete , select Yes . After restarting Word, you will see the interface and settings will return to their original state and you just need to edit the settings you need.
