Earlier, on the afternoon of February 1, a 5-magnitude quake also shook the province. Earthquake epicenter was determined at a depth of 98 km below the sea of ​​Maluku.

14,500 flood relief workers were mobilized to help evacuate people to safe places. According to local newspapers, this is the worst flood in Jakarta since 2002.
