Floods, earthquakes in Indonesia
Yesterday morning (February 2), an earthquake with an initial magnitude of about 5.2 Richter rocked Indonesia's Gorontalo province. Meanwhile, in the capital, Jakarta, the government also issued a state of alert 3 due to the flood.
According to a spokesman for the local Meteorological and Geophysical Agency, earthquake epicenter was determined at 0.48 degrees north latitude, 122.2 degrees east longitude, ie Gorotalo 72 km southwest and at degrees 127 km deep. There is no information about damage or casualties.
Earlier, on the afternoon of February 1, a 5-magnitude quake also shook the province. Earthquake epicenter was determined at a depth of 98 km below the sea of Maluku.

The water level in Pondok Aren area in Bintaro and Tangerang districts is up to 2.5 m. In the Ciledug area (Tangerang), at least 10 residential areas are flooded with water levels of 1.6 m causing long-term traffic jams in the area .
14,500 flood relief workers were mobilized to help evacuate people to safe places. According to local newspapers, this is the worst flood in Jakarta since 2002.
