FPT studied satellites monitoring the East Sea

According to the representative of FPT Technology Research Institute (FTRI), the Institute is now promoting research, manufacture and application of satellite surveillance ships in the East Vietnam Sea.

Up to now, FTRI has built a pilot ship signal receiving station in Da Nang and connected to a server located in Hanoi.

In addition, FTRI's 10-member team is also rushing to develop software for users to manipulate data.

An idea of ​​making small satellites that monitor FPT's ships

According to Mr. Vu Trong Thu, Head of Space Research Division (F- Space) of FPT Technology Research Institute, in order to research the satellite monitoring system of seagoing ships with the highest efficiency, the problem is being raised. is that Vietnam needs to invest more in appropriate effort and finance. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, it is appropriate to solve the problem of linking and cooperating with international organizations to build the system and share data.

According to FTRI, on October 15, to further promote the application of satellite monitoring technology for ships, the Institute together with FPT University, International Cooperation for Space Development ( CANEUS International) will jointly organize the workshop 'Application of ship monitoring satellite technology' in Hanoi.

The workshop will discuss issues related to the realization of the project 'Using small satellite beams to monitor boats in the East Sea' by FTRI and Uppsala University (Sweden) to cooperate and develop. the prevention of illegal oil discharge and support of search and rescue work at sea based on the pilot implementation of the LOD (Limited Objective Demonstration) object monitoring project.

In addition to presenting the status and needs of Vietnam sea management, the workshop will also introduce the project of researching and manufacturing AIS satellites of FPT Technology Research Institute, the ship monitoring system of the Ministry of Transport. US Transportation .
