Frog skin can cure cancer

Scientists at Belfast University of England have won the "Future Medical Initiative" award for their work on the use of toad and frog skin to cure 70 types of diseases, including cancer.

Professor Chris Shaw, the head of the study, confirmed that a frog contains protein that helps to inhibit the growth of blood vessels and thus kill cancer.

Mr. Shaw said that when growing to a certain size, tumors need blood vessels to supply the oxygen and nutrients they need.

" Stopping the growth of blood vessels will reduce the ability of tumors to spread and can even kill them. This will help turn cancer from a deadly place to a mere one. chronic disease, "he said.

The team also discovered that toads produce another protein that can stimulate the growth of blood vessels and help patients recover from wounds quickly .

"This protein may be useful in cases of injury, organ transplantation, diabetes ulcers, stroke or heart attack, " Shaw said.

Scientists and pharmaceutical companies around the world have spent about US $ 4-5 billion to find but have not yet developed a controlled drug, effectively inhibiting the growth of blood vessels, then the discovery of Professor Shaw and colleagues is considered a breakthrough initiative.

" The purpose of this study is to explore the potentials of the natural world to reduce human suffering. We are confident that the natural world has a lot of solutions to these problems. We just need to ask the right questions to find them, " BBC quoted Professor Shaw.
