Game design star Nintendo will speak at GDC 2007
Shigeru Miyamoto, the "Spielberg video game" named Time Man, will make a keynote speech at the 2007 Game Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco next March. This is his very rare public appearance.
Miyamoto joined Nintendo in 1977 as a "design artist", was assigned to design the Donkey Kong game, one of Nintendo's first games (published in 1981). Since then, Miyamoto has worked with more than 100 other famous game projects, including: Wii Sports, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Nintendogs, Metroid Prime, Luigi's Mansion, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Miyamoto is also the creator of the character Mario (previously known as Jump Man), the series of Nintendo's most popular games of the past time. Miyamoto is currently the senior managing director and general manager of Nintendo's entertainment and development division. Miyamoto's next product will be Super Mario Galaxy (for Nintendo Wii), due to be released later this year.
