According to Belfast Live, in the photo, a group of young female workers at the linen factory lined up and took pictures with uniforms at work. Each person wears a belt that fits around the waist through the tools they use every day.

However, when looking closely, a strange arm can be seen on the shoulder of the dark-clothed girl sitting on the right end of the second row. The arm cannot belong to the two girls standing behind or sitting next to them because they all take pictures in their arms crossed.

The photo was sent to Belfast Live by a reader named Linda."It was great to see the old picture of my grandfather many years ago when she worked at the factory. Her name was Ellen Donnelly and the fourth person from left to right in the second row. My father kept this picture in home and that's a ghost photo of my family , " Linda said.

Some theories suggest that "ghost arm" is the result of a trick on using light or frills on a girl's shirt but its true origin has not been determined.
