Google canceled drone internet broadcast project

The idea of these planes is to deliver the internet remotely, to help people in remote areas access information and use the services of the company. However, this idea has collapsed.

In 2014, Google and Facebook competed fiercely for Titan Aerospace, which specializes in unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result, Google has won, and Facebook has bought another company and is building a plane called Aquila.

The idea of these planes is to deliver the internet remotely, to help people in remote areas access information and use the services of the company. However, this idea has collapsed.

On Wednesday, a spokesman for Research X from Alphabet Inc. (parent company of Google) said that the company has stopped the Titan project from the beginning of 2016. To this day the new affair confirmed after 9to5Google blog reported.

The project was suspended due to economic and financial problems.

According to the spokesperson, Titan's team was included in the X at the end of 2015 and then the lab stopped the drone project.

Facebook is also experiencing some difficulties as the Aquila drone crashed in June, leading to an investigation by the National Traffic Safety Administration. An earlier explosion also destroyed a satellite, and the company also met with government opposition to providing free services in India.

Alphabet stopped the Titan project because of economic and financial problems . Project Loon and Project Wing , two other projects X to broadcast the internet from the sky balloons and use drone for transportation purposes are still ongoing.

"In terms of finance and technology, Project Loon is a more promising project to connect with remote areas around the world, many of whom are involved in other projects at X, including Loon and Project Wing.

Project Wing is facing many challenges. In the fall of 2016, some Wing employees were advised to find another project at the Alphabet after X postponed the drone transport plan.
